Please explain the difference between the magnification (m) and the angular magnification (M).

Let's say you have a prescription for contact lenses of -2 diopters. If you accidentally get glasses made to the same strength, your prescription will be a bit off, and you won't be able to focus at infinity. Estimate how far you will be able to focus.
