Physics 105 Daily Exercise for Friday 1/14 (Due 1/19)
On Wednesday we will start with general properties of the
motion of celestial objects.
- On a clear evening face North or South and locate
the most obvious celestial object you see. Note roughly what it
is (a bright star, the Moon, a constellation) and where and when you
observed it.
- An hour or two later, go back outside and locate
the same object in the sky. Where is it now?
- What did the object do in the intervening time?
NOTE: it is OK if your answers are rough
approximations.
Answer in the form below, a short answer for each is fine.
This report is due by 8:00 am Wednesday morning.
