(hames)I think the most effective activity we've done to help us think like writers is the free writing activities for the two projects because they helped us think about what information readers need and how best to present that information.

(rlittell)To think like a writer, our main thing to do was to pick our target audience. Who are we writing to? Also, we needed to create tension. Kind of be argumentative.

(npaddock)We have read articles about high school culture that require us to "wallow in complexity" in order to understand the point the author is trying to make as well as to develop a response essay of our own. So we had to analyze how another writer was thinking, and that helped US to learn to think like a writer.
