  • Congratulations to all. Class average on the final exam was 204 (68%). I believe it was the hardest test all semester, and you all came through.

Other News
  • There will be a partial solar eclipse tomorrow, just before sunset. The moon will begin to pass in front of the sun at 4:08 pm, and will cover a maximum of about 20% of the Sun at 5:04. The sun will set at 5:21, still partially eclipsed. Remember, this is a partial eclipse, so you must not look directly at it without special eye protection.
  • Decemebr 14th, is the "birthday of quantum mechanics." It was on December 14, 1900 that Max Planck introduced the notion of quantization at a meeting of the Physikalische Gesellschaft.
