Activity: How to write a WarmUp

1. Alone, or with a partner, please write down one or two possible WarmUp Questions for the class you will teach next semester
2. Keep in mind, these questions should be open ended; they should be for discussion, they are not a test. Think of questions that will reveal student misconceptions or activate prior knowledge. Good starters:

"What is the difference between...?" "Do you think that...?"
"Why do you think...?" "Estimate how many..."
"What determines ....?" "In your own words, explain..."
"What happens if...?" "Explain your choice." - always a good ending!
