Activity: How to write a
WarmUp
1. Alone, or with a partner,
please write down one or two possible WarmUp
Questions for the class you will teach next
semester
2. Keep in mind, these questions should be open
ended; they should be for discussion, they are not
a test. Think of questions that will reveal student
misconceptions or activate prior knowledge. Good
starters:

"Do you think

think...?" |
"Estimate how
many..." |
| "What determines
....?" |
"In your own words,
explain..." |
| "What happens if...?" |
"Explain your choice." - always a good
ending! |
