Poisson v1.0  requires a Java 1.1 enabled browser that allows JavaScript to applet communication. It is available here for use in non-commercial educational endeavors.

Checking the rho box on the applet allows the user to draw charge density.  The default setting creates a conductor at a fixed potential.

This applet allows users to calculate the potential field from Poisson's equation.  Both fixed conductors and fixed charge distributions are allowed.   The applet is designed to be scripted but may also be used in an interactive design mode using a click and drag metaphor.
