In your own words, please explain what is meant by the term interference. When is interference destructive? When is it constructive?






2.

Without using a caculator, estimate the value of sin(0.015) and tan(0.015) where the angle is in radians. Be sure to explain how you did this without a calculator.

In young's two-slit experiment, the two lits act as two sources of light which interfere with one another. Please explain what he two sources are when you see "interference" in the light reflected from an oil slick or soap bubble




4.

When two rays of light are out of phase by 180°, destructive interference results. What happens at 170°? Anything?
