Andrew D. Gavrin

Assistant Professor of Physics, IUPUI

B.S. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1983
M.S. The Johns Hopkins University, 1986
Ph.D. The Johns Hopkins University, 1992

My primary scholarly activities are magnetic materials research and physics education. In particular, I have recently been using magnetic domain imaging and magnetometry to investigate nanostructured ferromagnets, including granular Co-Ag, granular Ni-Al2O3, and Nd-Fe-B. I have also been developing ways to use the World Wide Web as a means to improve classroom learning (Just-in-Time Teaching).
